Major Challenges：

Our team is using various platforms for different work processes, for example is the Microsoft Office programs like Microsoft Excel and Globe3 system which we use for our business main tool, and for our technical team, we are using other software. It is very challenging for us to cope up with our fast-past project schedule in a timely manner, with the submission of claim, quotations, and variation orders to our main con down to certifications of our sub cons and suppliers we always need to manually transfer project data from different platforms. Besides lack of integrated digital platform, another challenge is the manual measurement of quantities using 2D drawings, as it is time-consuming plus the fact that each QS are handling not only one project, but different and various projects.

Implementation of Glodon Cubicost:

Glodon team not only provided us with in-depth training but also offered project guidance during our actual implementation on our ongoing projects. Our team is really impressed by their hand-hold service from the beginning stage from the study on project drawings whether from tender PDF & project DWG or BIM Revit model till tender submission stage. Glodon consultant has been always there with us and leading up to that transition to achieve our goals step by step. We really appreciate the supports from Austin and Lisa who have been always very responsive, and always ready to provide quick solutions. Personally, I did not expect that the implementation journey will be so easy and so fun.

Improvements:

We have different kind of projects and contracts including Lump Sum contract and Re-measurement contract. Talking about the re-measurement contract, we need to provide exact and accurate quantity by providing detail steel weight from the biggest member size down to the smallest plates and even the number of bolts, and Cubicost TRB exactly helps to generate accurate quantities in an efficient way. For our ongoing projects that have IFC models, Cubicost TASC solution can import these models and provide a closeup view of the 3D models up to the smallest plates and bolts, and generating quantity is as fast as 1, 2, 3. Overall, Cubicost solution has taken our company to the next step in providing us with the ability to produce timely and accurate cost estimations, with ease of use and great service support.
