Glodon's Commitment to ESG Principles Drives Sustainable Growth and Impact in Construction Industry

In an era where sustainability and responsible business practices are paramount, Glodon, a leading digital building platform service provider, recognized the importance of sustainable development not only as a means to mitigate risks but also as an opportunity to drive innovation, create long-term value, and positively impact society and the environment.

In 2022, we tried our best to measure and manage our ESG impact, invest in R&D to provide better tools to help our customers fulfil their goals so as to transform the construction industry toward positive outcomes with technology – efforts that you can see from our recent-published fourth report on corporate ESG information.

Environmental Responsibility

Glodon's commitment to environmental sustainability was evident in our comprehensive efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. We have conducted a comprehensive assessment of our enterprise's energy consumption, including both direct energy consumption (Scope 1) and indirect energy consumption (Scope 2 and Scope 3). This systematic approach allows us to gain a clear understanding of our carbon footprint and enables us to develop targeted management measures to reduce carbon emissions from our day-to-day operations effectively.

For example, the Glodon Xi'an R&D centre building exemplifies energy efficiency and self-sufficiency by integrating a solar photovoltaic panel system to generate power and adjust lighting automatically according to sunlight conditions. We have also incorporated carbon emission reduction goals into our supplier management guidelines. By doing so, we incentivize and prioritize material suppliers who embrace and practice low-carbon concepts.

Additionally, Glodon places a strong emphasis on leveraging digital technology to empower the construction industry's green and low-carbon transformation. We have built an Ecology Information Modeling (EIM) digital twin platform, which expands EIM at multiple levels through City Information Modeling (CIM) and integrates ecological algorithms, IoT, and big data to provide a digital foundation for intelligent ecological management. We have also built a digital information management platform for eco-friendly construction materials, covering 51 categories from 2,300 suppliers.

Social Engagement

Glodon recognized the importance of social responsibility in positively impacting our employees, stakeholders, and the communities in which we operate. By fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, Glodon provides equal opportunities to all individuals, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, or religious beliefs. As part of our commitment to supporting our employees, we established the Family Fund. In 2022 alone, the Family Fund donated over one million yuan to support 120 employees facing challenging circumstances.

Moreover, Glodon actively contributes to society through philanthropic initiatives and social engagement activities. In 2022, we donated over 180 million yuan to support education, poverty alleviation, and community development efforts. We extend support to vulnerable groups, such as the children of construction workers, ensuring their well-being and access to educational resources. Our employees also dedicated their time and efforts to serving 399 individuals in the communities, exemplifying Glodon's commitment to giving back and making a meaningful difference.

Corporate Governance

Glodon maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all our operations. Glodon's Board of Directors played a pivotal role in overseeing strategic decision-making, fostering a culture of integrity, and safeguarding the interests of our stakeholders.

We actively improve our compliance management system and keep our regulations up-to-date. The project-based management is adopted to ensure compliance in areas such as anti-monopoly regulations, data management, and human resources. We also conduct training sessions targeting various levels regularly to enhance employees' compliance knowledge and skills. All these are enforced by a dedicated committee that oversees business compliance.

As a globally-reaching company, Glodon also ensures that all our operations are conducted ethically, responsibly, and in alignment with the legal requirements of the countries and regions in which we operate.
