Doris U. Gacho, Executive Director of the Philippine Overseas and Domestic Construction Boards under CIAP; Liu Qian, Director of Glodon; Wataru Matsumoto, Vice President of Glodon; and Frank Xu, Director of Emerging Market Development at Glodon, attended the signing ceremony.

The construction industry is an important pillar supporting the Philippines’ economic development and employment growth. In 2019, CIAP released the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap 2020-2030, which sets out key development directions such as promoting technological innovation, enhancing industry competitiveness, strengthening talent development, and expanding international cooperation. The signing of the MoU is an important outcome of the two parties’ previous rounds of communication and their shared understanding of the development needs of the Philippine construction industry.

Doris U. Gacho said, “The Philippine construction industry is at a critical stage of transformation and development. We look forward to working with global industry partners such as Glodon to introduce digital technologies and practical expertise in BIM, AI, cloud computing, and big data. Together, we hope to explore digital solutions across the full construction lifecycle, enhancing the efficiency, capabilities, and international competitiveness of the Philippine construction industry.”

Liu Qian said, “The signing of this MoU with CIAP is not only an exploration of cooperation in BIM, AI, and digital construction technologies. It will also extend to broader areas such as industry education, capacity building, government platform exchange, and international collaboration. Glodon looks forward to working closely with CIAP to contribute our technological capabilities, industry experience, and global practices to the modernization of the Philippine construction industry.”

Moving forward, Glodon will fully leverage its technological capabilities and practical experience in construction digitalization, and work with CIAP to promote the deeper integration of digital technologies with local industry scenarios in the Philippines. Together, the two parties aim to support the upgrading and sustainable development of the Philippine construction ecosystem.
