Glodon Advances Industry-university-institute Cooperation with Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Glodon participated in Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU)'s students awarding ceremony for the Best Master Thesis Prize in Construction Management on June 23. Keya Wu and Min Guo won the award.

This event demonstrates the in-depth cooperation between XJTLU and Glodon in the academic field, demonstrating Glodon's efforts to fulfilling social responsibility and support the country's education cause.

"I believe Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and Glodon together will cultivate more and more aspiring and pioneering talents to make the construction industry move forward," said Mr. Pierpaolo Franco, Vice President of Glodon, in his speech at the award ceremony.

Establishing Cooperation between Industries, Universities and Research Institutes

The ceremony is part of the industry-university cooperation between Glodon and XJTLU. On March 29, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration and increase digital awareness in the architecture, engineering, and construction sectors. Two parties will work together to achieve a series of objectives, providing software training, sponsoring student awards, and producing high-quality research outcomes. Glodon is proud to be able to help bridge the gap between students' education and careers.

Cooperation in Talent Training and Academic Research

Glodon has been dedicated to facilitating the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and strengthening the construction industry with more BIM talents. For XJTLU students better using BIM software, Glodon held two training sessions on Gsite on May 18 and 25 with over 50 attendees. "Gsite provides powerful auxiliary support for orderly construction management and information handling as a centralized management platform. The training is impressive and it demonstrates in detail how it integrates and utilizes various advanced network technologies," said a trainer from the sessions.

In addition, Glodon and XJTLU have also strengthened collaboration on high-level research with academic papers on digital transformation, construction management, BIM, the Internet of Things, smart built environment, etc.

Taking Enterprise Social Responsibility

As a leading player in the digitalization of the construction industry in China, Glodon always regards the education and training of industry talents as an important social responsibility. We endeavour to realize the collaborative education between educational institutes and enterprises and empower construction professionals with learning, training, evaluation, certification, employment and other supports throughout their whole career life cycle to achieve their goals. By actively cooperating with major professional associations and academic institutions for core talent training and increasing study programs' characteristics, Glodon hopes to build an industry-university-institute ecosystem.

Through this cooperation, respective advantageous resources of enterprises and educational institutes can be fully utilized, more skilled talents can emerge for society and the industry, and technology will also benefit from the cooperation to create a better built environment in the future.
