Chongqing Vocational College of Applied Technology & Glodon Malaysia Explore Construction Education Collaboration
On November 21, Song Yuhua, Dean of the
School of Smart Cities and Transportation at CVCAT, along with Li Xing,
Director of the Office of External Cooperation, visited the Glodon Malaysia
Branch for research and exchange.
The delegation was warmly received by Joyce, Head of Glodon Malaysia; An Qi, Director of International Cooperation for Digital Education; Cheng Mingyi, International Cooperation Manager; Jue Fatina, Customer Success Manager; and Soon Yvoone, Assistant Marketing Manager. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including collaborative digital construction education, industry talent cultivation, and the implementation of industry-education integration, reaching a consensus on future cooperation.
During the exchange, Joyce provided a detailed overview of Glodon’s business layout and development journey in Malaysia. As one of the earliest Chinese enterprises to enter the local construction digitalization sector, Glodon has established strong industry influence within Malaysia's construction, cost management, and education systems through over a decade of sustained investment. She emphasized that the branch remains committed to “building a bridge for China-Malaysia exchanges,” laying the groundwork for closer educational cooperation between the two nations through technology sharing and talent interaction.
During the meeting, Dean Song Yuhua shared the
college's developmental achievements and progress in collaboration with INTI
International University Malaysia—including core accomplishments such as joint
program development, faculty and student exchanges, and mutual course
recognition.
Dean Song expressed the college's strong optimism about the prospects of Sino-Malaysian educational cooperation. Moving forward, the college will continue to focus on “joint international talent cultivation,” aligning more closely with the talent needs of Malaysia's construction industry. Through international collaboration, it aims to integrate the “professional education—industry practice—talent employment” chain, promoting the integrated development and mutual growth of the construction sectors in China and Malaysia under the Belt and Road framework.
An Qi, Director of International Cooperation for
Digital Education, explained that Glodon has established a mature digital
construction education system domestically. This system encompasses a
full-chain solution, from planning specialized programs and developing course
resources to training faculty, constructing training labs, organizing industry
competitions, and building industry-education integration platforms.
She proposed that in the future, Glodon is willing
to collaborate with CVCAT and Malaysian universities to jointly explore a “digital
industry-education integration pathway” tailored to local construction
education development. This initiative aims to advance innovation in talent
cultivation models and achieve connectivity between Chinese and Malaysian
educational resources.
This research visit not only deepened mutual
understanding between CVCAT and Glodon Malaysia, but also laid a solid
foundation for future in-depth collaboration in areas such as digital
construction education, international talent development, and the implementation
of industry-education integration projects. Both parties look forward to
building upon this exchange as a starting point to advance more pragmatic and
sustainable Sino-Malaysia educational and industrial cooperation initiatives,
jointly charting a new blueprint for mutual benefit and shared success
