3rd Glodon Cubicost BIM QS Competition is successfully held in Philippines

Glodon Cubicost BIM Competition 2021 was successfully held on 18 December in the Philippines, which is the 3rd BIM QS Competition of Glodon Cubicost. There are over 1600 attendees for Glodon Cubicost TASC Training and over 300 participants from top developers, consultants, and contractors.

BACKGROUND

The competition started from years 2019 and aims to help the QSs to develop the BIM concept and BIM QTO abilities. It includes training courses, course assessments, and final competition for attendees. Till now it has more than 3000+ QSs have joined the online training and finished the courses. Including developers & government (21%), consultant & contractor (76%) and also some academic guest. It also attracts some participants from other industries such as real estate, material supply, agency, etc. They believe we are bringing something impressive to shock the Philippines’ construction industry.

WINNERS SPEECH

To this end, we held an online award ceremony, and we were honored to invite the top three winners of the competition to share with us their BIM results and their experience in using Glodon Cubicost.

First, Mr. Jason Lareza, who got 3rd Prize, is a Quantity Surveyor of METRIOS with 3 years experience, started using Glodon Cubicost since 2019 and keep practicing taking BIM model before this competition. He shared his experience about using Glodon Cubicost and suggested that everyone can join the Free Public Training from Glodon Philippines.

Then, Mr. Jason Tamayo, who got 2nd Prize, is a Quantity Surveyor of BKAsia Pacific. He took time to introduce his modeling work by using Cubicost, which is a tailor-made platform for Quantity Surveyor for not only increasing measurement efficiency but also allowing Quantity Surveyor to embrace BIM trend. With Glodon Cubicost, Quantity Surveyor now could easily measure concrete, formwork, building service and even reinforcement bar which is believed as the most complicated task for Quantity Surveyor.

After that, 1st Prize, Mr. Justie Jeff Cristobal, has a lot of experience in BIM modeling using Glodon Cubicost. He shared the feeling that the great part with Glodon Cubicost is fast at their response on their technical assistance. Once they are partnered or acquired their license, Glodon group are easy to approach if they have any questions and concern.
